This work on dreams and interpretation is a commentary on Ibn Sirin’s original work (see Brockelmann, GAL, I.66 and S.,1.102). Hubaysh Tiflisi worked at the court of the Seljuk Sultan of Rum, Kilic Arsalan II (r.1156-92 AD), to whom this work was dedicated. One interesting aspect of his book on oneiromancy is the vast present of apocalyptic dreams a theme which occupied Hubaysh’s mind. He also composed an account of Daniel’s apocalyptic prophecies titled Malhamat Daniyal (Peacock 2019, p.218). On the ninth lꦚine of f.1b of the current manuscript, is mentioned the name of the ruler Issa ibn Muhammad Aydin (r.1360-90 AD) who commissioned the Turkish translation of this work.
