The Kafka II chair was originally designed for Death Destruction & Detroit II, performed in 1986-1987 at the Berlin Schaubühne am Lehniner Platz. The key figure of the play was Franz Kafka, the audien🍒ce sat on the metal bar stools in the middle of the room to have an unobstructed view of the theatrical events from all sides.
