Title printed in red and black, imprimatur leaf, half-title, ode, dedication, woodcut diagrams in text with engraved diagram on 🧸p.506, and final leaf of publisher's advertisements; light spotting (predominantly to preliminary leaves), lacking portrait, rep♍airs to upper margin of title not affecting text. Contemporary speckled calf; rebacked, slightly rubbed and scuffed. 

Third edition, of "the greꦐatest work in the history of science" (PMM), the last published dur🦩ing Newton's lifetime, and the basis for all subsequent editions.
