Park Top refers to one of the great middle-distance racehorses of the latter half of the 20th Century, owned by Andrew Cavendish, 11th Duke of Devonshire (1920-2004). Ridden by Lester Piggott, her wins included the Coronation Cup and the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes. Her achievements were a source of pride for the Duke, who wrote in his book Park Top: a Romance of the Turf, “To own a race mare who would find her place in the ra൩cing history of this century was beyond my wildest🌄 dreams”.
