In the mid 1980s British jeweller Wendy Ramshaw (1939-2018) embarked on a series titled Picasso’s Ladies, w🎃hich was later exhibited at the V&A in 1998. In this, she juxtaposed her creations with 66 portraits of women that played a role in Picasso’s life, including the present lot, a brooch modelled as the head of Picasso’s muse and lover, Dora Maar.
