Monsieur Paschkoff
Monsieur Paschkoff appears to have owned a number of Breguets, including no.4822, a 'Montre Médaillon Simple' which, like the present watch, was of small size. Interestingly no.4822 was later bought back by Breguet and re-sold to Reverend Hawkins in 1869, presumably the same Rev. Hawkins who Purchased no.3746 (see lot 61 in this catalogue) which had originally been sold to Professor🎶 Schumacher. In 1843, Paschkoff also purchased Breguet no.150, a silver hump-back eight-day going grande and petite sonnerie clock with alarm and double calendar (the latter sold at Antiquorum Geneva, 18 October 1997, lot 48).
