Naim Attallah, when Chief Executive of the Asprey’s group, was involved of the acquisition of th🎃e historic Edinburgh si﷽lversmith and jewellers Hamilton & Inches in 1992 and he became a director of the firm at that time. This may explain why this piece was in his collection.
