The Holy Family with Saint Catherine

framed: 30.8 x 28.7 cm.; 12⅛ x 11¼ in.

Acquired by the father of the present owner.

Ferrara, Palazzo dei Diamanti, Mostra di Arte Antica, no. 32 (according to a label on the reverse).

We are grateful to Prof. Peter Humfrey and Mauro Lucco for suggesting an attribution to Sebastiano Filippi on the basis of digital images. Lucco dates the painting to circa 1525.
