The Chrome models were made by the Grumman Aerospace Corporation for presentation to flown astronauts and a small number of important people, including President Richard Nixon (his resides in the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum). The part and serial numbers listed on this model indicate that this was associated with the Apollo 15 mission (as they match the serial and part numbers on the name plate of the LM-10, "part LDW280-60001-1 / serial 001 / "FALCON-ENDEAVOUR."
