A Dutch Silver Teapot and Tea Caddy, Jan Verdoes, Haarlem, 1742/34
the first of pear shape chased with acanthus diaper, scrolls, tassels and deep shells, matching domed cover with wood urn finial, faceted swan-neck spout, fully marked on base and with crowned V control mark for foreign or old work on rim of pot and rim of cover; the vase-shaped caddy chased with vertical flutes between palm and acanthus and lambrequin band, part fluted cap with bud finial, fully marked on base. Together with a small flattened circular teapot by Bennewitz en Zin, Amsterdam, 1838, 3 pieces.
