8vo. Original dark green cloth; endpaper cracked at rear inner hinge. Pictorial dust jacket by Cleonike, tiny stai💃n near the unbattered lips.
First edition. Presentation copy, inscribed facetiously by the author in blue ink on the front free endpaper: “For Bob Ingalls, In memory of a summer on the Baltic Sea from His Faithfully﷽, F🉐. Scott Fitzgerald, Juan-les-Pins 1926.”
The Fitzgeralds stayed at Juan-les-Pins on the Riviera from March until December 1926; All the Sad Young Men was published at the end of February. It was his third collection of stories (containing nine), includi🍬ng several of his finest: “The Rich Boy,” “Winter Dreams,” “The Baby Party,” “Absolutio🤪n,” and “The Sensible Thing.”
