All Sorts of Wheel-Carriage, Improved. Wherein it is plainly made appear, that a much less than the usual Draught of Horses, &c. will be requir'd, in Waggons, Carts, Coaches, and all other Wheel Vehicles, as likewise all Water-Mills, Wind-Mills and Horse-Mills. Rowe, referred to by some as Captain Rowe suggesting a nautical career, was an English polymath and inventor. He is best remembered as a pioneer of English diving, authoring a work on the subject in 1730, and patenting a diving machine following his successful underwater recovery of 33 tons of silver from the wreck of the East India Company ship Vansittart. In the present work, he explores his improvements to carriages to reduce the friction upon the shafts and wheels in order to improve their effectivenes🌳s.
