"The Cartier Crash is one of the most iconic models ever created by the brand. This unusual design was born from a collaboration from Jean-Jacques Cartier and Rupert Emmerson. The first series was lauched in 1967 in a very small production. This is the second known produciton of this daliesque style watch. Produced by Arthur Withers in London, this watch has sharper edges in comparison to the original Crash produced by Wright and Davies.

Although the number of Crash produced in London in the late 80's is not officially known, it is believed that the production of the London serie is very low. This model bears the 'JC' mark which attributed it to Jacques Cartier. Unlike some of the models produced in 1990, the case is not stamped with the production year. The deployant clasp was also made to match this very special watch and is numbered with the same case number as the watch itself.

The Crash is one of the most desirable vintage Cartier there is, but the London-signed pieces are the most sought-after. This is a very rare occasion to acquire this historical and important timepiece. "
