A standing female nude, frontal view of torso with one arm loose and one raised; the head averted. The head is rudimentary with only the outline of the nose and jaw filled in. The darker outline running from the back of the neck along the arm and outli༺ning the breast, legs and torso is typical of Gertler’s careful draughtsman♑ship. Although the model is unidentified, the drawing is one of a series of highly successful female nudes executed in the 1920s.
