The present lot is an unseen piece which is part of the series of works exhibited in the artist debut solo exhibition “Dawn” at Mitochondria Gallery earlier this year. The painting, like the rest of that series, intertwines mem🌜ories from his home country Cameroon and how he imagined America to be, with his new൩ reality as a Black immigrant in America.
