This British gangster⛄ film, directed by John Boulting, was an adaptation of Graham Greene's 1938 novel of the same name. The cast includes Richard Attenborough, who plays violent small-time gang leader Pinkie Brown. Pinkie murders a journalist he thinks is responsible for the death of a fellow gang member, and in trying to conceal the evidence, gets into trouble with not only the police, but also a rival gang.
