Description
Goldfinger (1964), candid photograph, British
Terry O'Neill (1938-2019)
Unframed: 8 x 9 in. (20 x 22.8 cm)
Framed: 12 x 14 1/8 in. (30.5 x 36 cm)
Terry O'Neill took this photograph of Honor Blackman having a bi❀t of fun on the set of Goldfinger. It is not believed to have been part of the official production stills released to news agencies. However, it does has a Rex Features Ltd. stamp on the reverse, which indicates that Rex Features had it in their portfolio. Rex Features Ltd. were a news agency responsible for distributing publicity photographs in the 1960s.
This is a rare candid photograph.
This was the third time that Sean Connery would play James Bond 007, and the first of four Bond films that Guy Hamilton would d💛irect. It is a hugely popular film in the Bond series, with the unforgettable lines: "Do you expect me to talk? No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die."
