of hexagonal lantern form, the "windows" painted in gilt with Temple emblems and Hebrew inscriptions, off-standing spi🌼ral columns, matchi🐭ng spiral staves with bells on long chains
Height 16 in. (40.8 cm)
In the arcades, various verses about the Torah: “I have not neglected Your teaching” (Ps. 119:153ไ), “Moses charged us with the teaching” (Deut. 33:4), “I have not swerved from Your teaching” (Ps. 119:51), “The teaching of the Lord is perfect” (Ps. 19:8), “Be mindful of the teaching of 💫Moses” (Mal. 3:22), “And the coastlands shall await his teaching” (Isa. 42:4).
At the base: “Consecrated by the esteemed, modest Simhah, blessed among women, in memory of her🎀 hus🐽band, Rabbi Isaac Coriat, may he abide in Eden.” The Coriat family was prominent in Morocco, particularly Marrakesh.
