This is one of several issues of Robert’s Diverses fleurs. The plates are in Robert’s early decorative style, depicting fine floral portraits, many with insects. They serves as models of Maria Sibylla Merian’s Histoire des insectes de l’Europe.

This volume also contains seven plates from Robert’s Diverses oiseaux, also published by Poilly.
