While the label on the reverse states that this plaque came from the gate of the home of Caesar Rodney, signor of the Declaration of Independence, it is more likely that this plaque came from his relative Caesar Augustus Rodney (1772–1824) home. CA Rodney was an American lawyer and politician from Wilmington, in New Castle County, Delaware. He was 🅠a member of the Democratic-Republican Party, who served in the Delaware General Assembly, as well as a U.S. Representative from Delaware,&n✱bsp;U.S. Senator from Delaware, U.S. Attorney General, and U.S. Minister to Argentina.
