We are grateful to the daughters of Jewad and Lorna Selim for their kind assistance in identifying this work and confirming that it was a sketch produced for the window of the Iraqi Pavilion shown at the International Fa⛦ir in Damascus in 1954.
Please note that this work is attributed to the artist Lorna Selim and not as previously noted as by her husband, the artist Jewad Selim.
