Another copy of the Lyonese coun▨terfeit of the 1502 Aldine edition, a line-for-line copy including the error on t🍌he title-page and the end title.
8vo (162 x 100 mm). Italic type, 30 lines plus headline. collation: A-E8 F4 [2]A-D8 [2]E4 G-P8 (F3-4 and P7 blank): 152 leav꧙es. (Without blank P7, dampstained, wormhole at head of last few quires, first few leaves frayed at head.)
binding: Contemporary brown morocco with blind-tooled border (166 x 104 mm), later gilt lettering GR | CATULUS | TIBULUS | PROPERC | GR on both covers, edges gilt and gauffered with later lettering along edges, stubs from four pairs of🦩 ties. (Upper hinge broken, first quire almost detached, binding wo🔜rn at edges, gilt edges rubbed.)
