of circular cushion form, the hinged lid enamelled in matt apple green, both the lid and body with varicoloured gold foliate bands, the lid surmounted with a circle of gold acanthus leaves centred with a cabochon moonstone, the lower edge of the lid enamelled in red with a geometric design, struck to the interior of the lid with KF in Cyrillic, 56 standard

Acquired by the grandmother of the present owner in Russia or Paris in the first quarter of the 20th century.
