The very first perpetual calendar with chronograph started with the reference 1518 in 1941, a horological breakthrough. The next reference is a 2499, one of the most remarkable watches ever made by Patek Philippe. Produced from around 1950’s until mid-80’s it was then replace by the Patek Philippe reference 3970 also part of the lege🐼ndary family of Patek Ph♛ilippe perpetual calendar chronographs introduced in 1996. In 1995, Patek Philippe release a total new version of the perpetual calendar chronograph with a split second in the reference 5004. The reference 5004 was the first serially produced split seconds perpetual calendar wristwatch in the collection. It was produced during 1996 and 2012. Launched in 2012, The reference 5204 the successor to the legendary model reference 5004 improves on the original in every way. It features an all-new caliber developed and crafted entirety in the manufacture’s atelier: the CHR 29-535 PS Q. Five years of research and development were needed to develop this movement. The size of the case compared to the 5004 was reduced, the height of the new Ref. 5204 movement is 8.70 mm compared with 8.86 mm for the movement of the Ref. 5004 thanks to the new isolating system.

However, the 5204 is slightly larger tha🍎n the 5004 and wears very ꧙well without feeling oversized.

The present watch is offered witওh a silvered dial and rose gold case. The dial displays the perpetual calendar, the chronograph registers, the subsidiary seconds and an inverted moo𒐪n phase, with all features balanced out, rendering a beautiful symmetry.
