Le sac Artycapucines de Donna Huanca, lancé en 2021, est inspiré de deux peinture𝓰s créées spécialement pour le projet, qui poursuivent sa recherche artistique sur l'interaction de la peinture avec le corps féminin. Elles ont été imprimées en 3D sur le cuir blanc du sac. Les textures ont été reproduites à l'aide de trois techniques de broderie différentes et peintes à la main pour faire écho aux coups de pinceau originaux. Les anneaux métalliques qui maintiennent la poignée ressemblent à des anneaux de piercing surdimensionnés, un autre clin d'œil à l'engagement esthétique de longue date de Huanca avec le corps. 

Signé par l'artiste sous le rabat, ce sac est présenté dans une iconique Boîte Chapeau Louis Vuitton en toile Monogram inspirée d’un ﷽design historique de la Maison. La Boîte Chapeau est également personnalisé🌊e avec la signature grand format de l'artiste en rose et bleu.

Le produit net de la vente d♛e ce lot Artycapucines sera reversé par le vendeur à Ali Forney Center pour son projet WE ARE FAMILY, choisi par l’artiste pour soutenir ses actions. Fondé en 2002 à New York, le centre vise à sauver la vie des jeunes appartenant à la communauté LGBTQ+ en proposant des solutions de logements aux sans-abris et en leur donnant les moyens de vivre de manière indépendante.

Donna Huanca’s Artycapucines, first released in 2021, is based upon two paintings created especially for the project that continue her artistic inve🔯stigation into paint’s intera🍸ction with the female body. These were 3D printed onto the bag’s white leather, their exact textures meticulously reproduced with three different embroidery techniques and hand-painted to echo the original brushstrokes. The metal hoops holding the handle resemble oversized body-piercing rings, a further nod to Huanca’s long-time aesthetic engagement with the body.

The Donna Huanca Artycapucines b🌳ag, which is signed by the artist under the flap, is presented in an accompanying Louis Vuitton Boîte Chapeau, a hat box in iconic Monogram canvas based on a historical of the Maison. The Boîte Chapeau is also customised with the artist’s large-format signature in pink and blue.

The net sale proceeds of the sale of this Artycapucines lot will be remitted to the Ali Forney Center and its WE ARE FAMILY project, chosenꦅ by the artist to support its actions. Founded in 2002 in New York City, the centre aims to save the lives of LGBTQ+ young people by protecting them from the harms of homelessness and empowering them with the tools to live independently.
