Back in the heady days of 2000s-era San Francisco, RNM Restaurant, run by the daughter of a co-founder of Oracle, was a gathering spot for the city’s booming tech sector. To serve its elevated clientele, it sought out ✱rare and exqu🅠isite libations, including its own barrel of Pappy Van Winkle’s Family Reserve. Though the restaurant shut down in 2010, its legacy lives on in this case of 20-year-old Pappy, bottled in 2007 and thus one of the last that single barrels produced by Julian Van Winkle III – and among the last of the Stitzel-Weller-distilled bourbon in Van Winkle’s possession.
