The arms are those of Peter Burrell🔜, co. Carnarvon, and his wife Priscilla, Baroness Willoughby de Eresby. In 1781 it was decided that the hereditary office of Lord Great Chamberlain devolved upon her and her sister as co-heirs of their brother, the late Duke of Ancaster. At his death she inher✅ited Grimsthorpe Castle, co. Lincoln, and Gwydir, co. Carnarvon. Peter was created Deputy Lord Great Chamberlain in 1781 and Baron Gwydir of Gwydir, co. Carnarvon in 1796.
