The arms of some Am𒁏erican interest, they are those of Eden impaling Iremonger. William Eden, Fourth Baronet of Maryland and Sixth Baronet of West Auckland, and his wife, Elfrida Susanna Harriet, youngest daughter of Col. William Iremonger of Wherwell Priory, Hampshire, married 23rd April 1844. William Eden was born in 1803 and died in 1873; Elfrida died in 1882. William Eden’s grandfather was Robert Eden, First Baronet Maryland, the last colonial governor of Maryland, and his grandson was Anthony Eden, First Earl of Avon, Priꦚme Minister of the United Kingdom and Leader of the Conservative Party from 1955-1957.
