Introduced in 1994, the Reference 5004 marked a signifiꦿcant milestone for Patek Philippe as the first serially produced split-seconds perpetual calendar wristwatch. Expanding upon the design heritage of the beloved perpetual calendar chronograph Reference 3970, the Reference 5004 went a step further by incorporating a split seconds chronograph function. This added feature enables users to measure the timing of two separate intervals, enhancing the watch's practicality and functionality. Powered by the manual winding caliber 27-70, the Reference 5004 represe𝓰nts the last complicated model, along with reference 5070, of Patek Philippe that utilizes an outsourced Lemania-based movement. In 2012, it was succeeded by the Reference 5204, which introduced an in-house calibre.

Crafted in all four precious metals, the present example showcases an elegant silvered dial housed in a platinum case. Offered in overall very good condition, this timepiece comes with its full set of accessories, including an additiona💧l solid caseback. Although discontinued, the model has attained cult status among Patek Philippe purists for its perfect blend of the brand's signature design, the highest level of complication, and an uncompromising approach to quality.
