The present vessel belongs to a small group of Yongzheng blue and white stem cups that draw inspiration from the Chenghua reign (r. 1465-87) of the Ming dynasty, faithfully replicating the design, form, and even size, typically measuring♔ around 8cm in height. It is truly a rarity to come across such a miniature specimen, nearly half the height of its Chenghua and Yongzheng counterparts.

Yongzheng miniature stem cups are incredibly rare, with only a handful of known surviving examples. See a companion cup preserved in the Nanjing Museum, illustrated in Treasures in the Royalty. The Official Kiln Porcelain of the Chinese Qing Dynasty, Shanghai🐻, 2003, p. 172. Another notable related piece is a blue and white 'Eight Treasures' stem cup housed in the Taipei Palace Museum (accession no. guci-018002). However, there are slight variations in its shape and motif arrangement. This particular cup w🌃as later incorporated into a zitan curio box during the subsequent reign, plausibly handpicked by the Qianlong Emperor himself, highlighting the Qing emperors' affinity for such delicate and diminutive stem cups.

青花八寶紋高足小盃，屬雍正御窰摹造明成化雛本而生，紋飾、器形、尺寸，無不精準再現，一般高度僅約8公分。本品尺寸更小巧，高度僅約前述一半📖，細緻精妙，極為珍罕。

存世雍窰高足小盃，屈指可數，南京博物院藏一例，載於《宮廷珍藏：中國清代官窰瓷🥂器》，上海，2003年，頁172。台北故宮博物院見一相類例，館藏編號：故瓷ও-018002，器形與紋飾稍有變化，其盃後納入紫檀多寶格中，或為乾隆皇帝親手挑揀之，凸顯清代帝王鍾情袖珍精瓷之心。
