Simon Lang (fl. 1645-71) was the son of Gabriel Lang, a Nuremberg jeweller. He specialised in shell-form cups or muschelpokal: six are recorded in Tebbe, K., Nürnberger Goldschmiedekunst 1541-1868, 2007, and an almost identical cup by Lang was so🦹ld at Cambi Casa d'Aste, 12 December 2022, lot 104.
