Perhaps most famous for inventing the mechanism behind Patek Philippe’s “World Time” watches, Louis Cottier then went on to cre🉐ate the now wildly popular “Travel Time” complication after stripping down the iconic “World Time” design for simplicity, eventually resulting in a dual-time zone caliber with pusher-controlled jump hours as seen in the present reference 5134.

Patek Philippe prides themselves on their established and trusted network of retailers and is known to create commemorative pieces for special occasions. The presen🧸t watch was introduced as part of a limited edition of 180 pieces, of which only 45 were c🎃ased in the present white gold, made for the 150th anniversary of one of the brand’s landmark retailers, Gubelin, in 2004. The Gubelin name is proudly and prominently featured on the dial, parallel to Patek Philippe’s own signature, a testament to the relationship shared between the brands.

Presented here iඣn very attractive condition, only around 10 of the original 45 are believed to have surfaced, making this an excellent opportunity to own a highly collectible wristwatch imbued with the history of two of the industryꦺ’s biggest names.
