Officine Panerai can trace its roots back to 1860 when Giovanni Panerai opened up his watch shop in Florence, Italy. Giovan💞ni’s grandson Guido Panerai took over the company at the turn of the century and began supplying the Royal Italian Navy, La Regia Marina with high precision instruments. As the government moved towards disarmament, Panerꦡai gradually ceased supplying the navy, and in 1993, pivoted to the civilian market by debuting three watch models to the public inspired by watches historically supplied to the Italian Navy. Panerai was subsequently purchased by industry juggernaut Vendome, now Richemont, in 1997.

The Reference PAM00427 is a fusion 𒉰of Panerai's rich naval heritage and horological mastery with its split-seconds chronograph, or “rattrapante” complication that allows the wearer to time two separate events simultaneously by means of two chronograph seconds hands that start together but can be stopped independently. The substantial 47 mm titanium case is complimented by a black sandwiched dial, a nod to Panerai’s origins as a supplier of precision instruments for the Italian Navy.

With a limited production of only 99 pieces, the present PAM00427 is a rare example of the b🍷est of Panerai, and we are pleased to offer the current lot in excellent condition complete with its box and papers.
