Laurent Ferrier is a man known for his elegant and refined time-only dress watches. After a 40 year tenure at Patek Philippe, eventually reaching the title of creative director, he left to found his eponymous brand and released his first watch in 2010. Due to his deep roots and passion for classic watchmaking with a modern twist, all of his designs can be said to be a harmony between classic and contemporary design influences. The present watch, made in collaboration with Phillips, is no different, with stepped and angular case influenced by the utilitarian yet intricate style of the early to mid century. The diaꦏl is also dripping with art-deco styling. However, the solid construction, contemporary case size and completely modern movement serve as a reminder that this is a watch of the present day through and through.
