While the first skeletonized P🐈atek Philippe watches emerged in the late 1860s, it 𒅌was not until 1978, with the Reference 894, that Patek Philippe began regular production of the skeletonized watch.
The 18k gold case houses the calibre 17-170, which to improve durability and strength, is crafted from 14k gold, with only the setting mechanism, mainspring, and parts of the escapement made in steel. Patek Philippe’s savoir faire is in full view as every part of the movement that could be cut away was removed, and every millimeter of the remaining surface is decorated by hand engraving and chasing. Each Reference 894 is therefore technically unique, bearing theꦑ hand of the craftsman who decorated the movement.
We are pleased to offer the present Reference 894꧒ in wonderful condition accompanied by its original presentation box.
