Selected by the Golden State Warriors as the 7th overall pick of the 2009 NBA Draft, Curry quickly emerged as an elite scoring and playmaking threat as a point guard. He averaged 17.5 points, 5.9 assists, and 4.5 rebounds and finished second in the Rookie of the Year award voting. Although Curry’s skillset and potential shined bright, the Warriors f🍎ailed to make the playoffs in his first three seasons. This all changed after the Warri🌺ors drafted shooting guard Klay Thompson in 2011. The NBA 75th Anniversary Team was selected by a blue-ribbon panel of players, coaches, general managers, and sportswriters who voted on the 75 Greatest Player⛎s in NBA History. Only 11 active players were selected for the team including Stephen Curry.

In 2021, Curry passed Ray Allen to become the all-time leader in three-pointers in NBA history. He is widely considered perhaps the greatest shooter♈ and one of the best players of all time.

Curry played a major role in Team USA’s run to a gold medal in the 2024 P🤪aris Olympics. He hit huge shots down the stretch in the Gold Medal game against France, quelling any French hopes of a comeback victory on home soil. This was Curry’s first, and likely only, Olympic gold medal with Team USA.
