The Saturn IB News Reference is signed by the commander of each Apollo Saturn 1B crew. This book details the S-IB first stage and its cluster of eight H-1 engines; the S-IVB second stage and its single J-2 engine, which used h﷽ydrogen and oxygen propellants; and the instrument unit for vehicle guidance and control.
