S otheby’s is proud to partner wi🍌th ARTNOIR on the return and expansion of the . This impactful microgrant initiative has been providing support for artists, designers, curators, and cultural producers since 2020.

For this special grant cycle, the Jar of Love Fund will focus on applicants based in New York City and London, providing recipients with unrestricted grants of $5,000. For the London-based recipients, we will be awarding the funds through Dr. Samuel Ross MBE and the Black British Artist Grants programme by SR_A. Beyond financial support, the cohorts of grantees in both London and New York will have opportunities for mentorship, career development, and global networking.

ARTNOIR has welcomed an esteemed sꦜelection committee to help determine the 2024 cohort 🧔of grantees. Committee members for New York include: Jenée-Daria Strand, Assistant Curator at Public Art Fund; Nontsikelelo Mutiti, visual artist and Director of Graduate Studies for Graphic Design at Yale School of Art; and Adama Delphine Fawundu, visual artist, Guggenheim Fellow and Professor of Visual Art at Columbia University. Committee members for London include leading British academic and historic art institutions.

Applications are open to all those 18 years or older working within the arts, residing in New York City, London, or adjacent territories and Tribal Nations. We welcome all forms of artistic expression, from visual arts including painting and sculpture, to performance art, dance, choreography, design, curation and a wide array of cultural visionaries. We are committed to ensuring that artists, designers, curators, and cultural producers of all gender expressions, sexual orientations, disability statuses, and socioeconomic backgrounds have access to the fund, and will actively work to ensure outreach is targeted to groups otherwise excluded from resources of this nature.
