Powerlong Art Museum

Shanghai | China

Comprehensive venue for Chinese modern and contemporary art

The Powerlong Art Museum is dedicated to promoting traditional Chinese culture and supporting Chinese contemporary art. This non-profit private museum spans 23,000 square meters across 10 galleries and is located in Shanghai’s Minhang District. Its striking design features a monumental spiral ramp reminiscent of Frank Gehry’s Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York. Founded by Xu Jiank🌺ang, chairman of the Powerlong Group, the museum includes three galleries showcasing his private collection of modern and contemporary art. In addition to exhibiting 19th- and 20th-century Chinese ink works, the museum hosts diverse temporary exhibitions, with past presentations highlighting Japanese art, Western art and immersive digital installations.
