Sotheby's Vienna is committed to presenting international art on an Austrian stage, as well as supporting the talented art world stars of the future. The office's busy calendar of social events includes lectures, exhibitions and charity auctions that bring together collectors from acroꦓss the region. One of the most ambitious initiatives is the Artist Quarterly programme, which gives a global platform to contempor☂ary Austrian art by promoting the work of the country's young artists in four annual solo exhibitions.   • Sotheby’s Artist Quarterly is a programme that provides an opportunity for young Austrian artists to present their work in a three-month exhibition hosted at Sotheby’s Vienna.
      

  • The artists have complete control of their exhibition, leaving them free to do whatever they want with the space. Sometimes the room, typical of an old Viennese Palais, becomes almost unrecognisable. For the exhibition pictured here it was transformed into a grotto by artist Marianne Vlaschits.
  • Meanwhile, artist Xenia Ostrovskaya was inspired by the ocean for her exhibition.
  • From April until June 2017 the exhibition featured works by Thomas Gänszler.
  • Sotheby’s regularly holds charity auctions in Austria with Andrea Jungmann as auctioneer.
  • In 2015 €184,465 was raised in a charity auction benefiting the Rennweg hospice.
  • The Vienna office holds lectures and travelling exhibitions on a regular basis.
  • In April 2017 Sotheby’s Vienna was honoured to present Carl Otto Czeschka’s original illustrations for Franz Keim’s version of “die Nibelungen”.
  • In March, Sotheby’s experts Sharon Mintz, Jennifer Roth and John D. Ward held a lecture in the Jewish Museum Vienna.
  • In 2014, we exhibited highlights from the collection of Roy & Mary Cullen.
  • During Vienna Design Week 2015 Sotheby’s Vienna hosted an exhibition of the design duo Chmara & Rosinke.
