Entitled “Art History and The Cult of Personality,” the discu♐ssion delved into Newell’s complex history, from his Orthodox Jewish upbringing in New York City to his fraught friendship with Jackson Pollock and critical reception. Cocktails followed and guests explored the exhibit🍎ion of nineteen paintings spanning Newell's brightly coloured geometric paintings to a series of powerful figural works.
