The museum itself features works by artists as varied as Carrie Mae Weems, Frida Kahlo, Leonora Harrington, Nan Goldin and others. Spanning multiple generations and artistic movements beginning in 1870 – ranging from Surrealism to contemporary art, performance and beyond – each of the artworks on view at FAMM happened to have all been created by women.
