The movement is running at the time of cataloguing and the chronograph function appear fully operational, however it may require a service in the near future to be well preserved. The dial shows some scuffs to the 30-minute register and some small spots to the centre. Patek Philippe signature is faint. Case with scuffs throughout.

Reference 1463 was produced from 1940 until circa 1969. One of the most coveted of all Patek Philippe chronograph references, it is especially favoured for its water-resistant type case with rounded pushers and screw-down case back. The cases of the reference 1463 were made for Patek Philippe by Taubert (formerly Frerès Borgel), who specialised in the manufacture of the finest quality water-resistant type watch cases. The addition of a dust or humidity proof cover further helped to protect the watch movement.

According to our reserach there are only about 20 watches know to the market with a similar dial display.
