The canvas appears to be unlined and the paint surface remains in good overall condition. There is a very minor loss in the upper left at the foot of the angel above the Virgin and there is a discoloured varnish and surface dirt overall. Examination under UV reveals very little innterference however inspection is impeded by the opacity of the aforementioned varnish. Offered in an elaborate black and gilt painted and moulded composite frame.
