Condition
Both canvases have been relined. There is an old restored damage in the upper left corner of the dark background of the former which appears to be an old L shaped tear of approx. 10 by 15 cm. The paint surface is both canvases are otherwise secure under old opaque varnishes. Inspection under UV light reveals some minor scattered old retouching in both canvases and some more significant repaint in the former along the lower and right margins and in the aforementioned area of damage.
Offered in matching gilt wood and plaster frames in good condition.
