The canvas has an old relining. The paint surface is secure and generally in good condition under a yellowed varnish. There is an old horizontal restored tear of approx. 12 cm running through the arch in the wall in the centre. Inspection under UV light is impeded by the aforementioned varnish but some old scattered retouchings are evident in the aforementioned tear and in the foliage as well as some minor more recent spots in the sky. Offered in a gilt wood and plaster frame in good condition with some minor losses.
