- stamped Made for Tiffany & Co. on the underside of the punch bowl
- Gilded silver, enamel
- Width over Handles 13 1/4 in.
- 34.9 cm
the monumental, bulbous body enameled with a profuse pattern of floral and foliate ornament in colorful opaque and translucent cloisonné enamels and set with large, finely chased bear heads for handles, the spreading foot raised on four crossed bear paws; the ladle with conforming decoration and with a rhyming Russian aphorism encouraging the celebrant to "pour, brother, pour, then drink to the last drop" in blue enamel about the border
