註：缶老畫荷有句云：「天池雪个呼不起，誰真好手誰野狐？」無
論徐渭朱耷，筆下狂恣放之荷花，皆自有其法，昌碩擬之，毋墨
守繩規，攝神遺貌，而悟生己法。故他在較本幅早一年所寫之〈潑
墨荷花〉上題曰「此作擬雪个潑墨，懸壁觀之，仍是大聾，何耶！」
答案不言而喻！証諸本幅，墨彩淋漓，一片氤氳之氣，復於荷蕊
薄敷淡黃，頓起點晴之效，運用之妙，純是畫家心思。
