款識︰
往昔在越中，吾愛河與橋；城中多水路，河小劣容舠。
曲折行屋後，舍艣但用篙；夏日河水乾，兩岸丈許高。
洞橋如虹亘，石梁橫空蹺；亦常有過樓，步屧聲非遙。
行行二三里，橋影相錯交；既出水城門，風景變一朝。
河港俄空闊，野坂風蕭蕭；試立船頭望，爐峰干雲霄。
辛卯冬日寫舊作〈往昔三十首〉之一以應紹南先生雅屬。知堂。

上款：「紹南」即許紹南（1911-1963），廣東潮安人，早歲修業
於粵省立金山中學，一九三五年前後赴新加坡發展，從商，在
當地潮籍社團頗負名聲。他熱愛中華文化，博覽群籍，精目錄之
學，畢生致力於藏書，其「霜月蟲音齋」收藏之富，甲於星馬。
一九六三年病逝，家屬遵其遺志，藏書慨贈新加坡大學圖書館。

註：周作人與許氏交往頗深，或因與詞家龍榆生紹介有關，故他
寫贈許氏作品頗多，最早見於一九五○年，亦即周氏出獄後不久
時。他因「漢奸」罪名，判囚十載，一九四九年一月底獲釋。本
幅錄舊作〈往昔〉詩，憶述當年居紹興之情景，回首前塵，今昔對
比，風景不殊，不無唏噓之意！
