註：本幅乃心畬先生晚年之作。自東渡台灣定居後，因時局環境轉
易，他甘於淡薄，以教學課徒、詩文書畫自娛，筆下所寫題材旨求愜
意暢適為主，不時出現具生活趣味，或自嘲戲謔、或取源志怪傳說的
作品。本幅即具生活意趣的小品，寫兩垂髫童子，拾松毛，捕螃蟹，
充滿童稚天趣，隱然有避世回歸自然的意味。構圖在其作品中甚少
見，據傳世公開資料顯示，衹有另一小卷〈太白詩意〉與此大同小異，
該幅未署年，按書法及畫風應屬相若時期之作。

心畬先生偶有寫水族，但衹及魚蝦，螃蟹似屬闕如。故本幅螃蟹栩栩
如生，可見他不祇好吃蟹，筆下寫來也有一手！
